In Baseball there has been some great news to announce. Two sophomores earned impressive awards in Big West Conference. Shane Peterson and Bryan Shaw took the Big West Conference's Player and Pitcher of the Week. Having players take such honors it is no surprise that the coach, Mike Weathers, also receiving honors.
It has recently been announced that Weathers will be awarded the honor of coaching the USA men's baseball team this summer. This is the third time that Mike Weathers has been chosen to be a part of the USA Men's Baseball team. The most recent being when he was chosen to assist the team in 2003 when the U.S. won a silver medal in the Pan American Games.
